Dread Woo On “Smoke Will Never Clear”, Pop Smoke’s Legacy, Upcoming Project

Dread Woo has only been rapping for a short period of time but the young Brooklyn rapper has already made a ton of noise with the recent release of his first project “Smoke Will Never Clear”. The young rapper who was first introduced to the world on Pop Smoke’s “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon” deluxe album is gearing up to drop even more music in 2021 with the upcoming release of his “Gentlemen and Gangsta” tape. Speaking with On The Radar today he touched on all his new music, Pop’s legacy, upcoming records with fellow Brooklyn artists Rah Swish, Curly Savv + more!

When it came to his first tape “Smoke Will Never Clear” Dread Woo wanted it to be a homage to his late friend Pop Smoke. Explaining that after his passing Dread knew he wanted to take music seriously to carry on the torch. With this project he reflected on all the fun things that he and Pop had done and just locked in in the studio and tried new things for the project.

“When I was creating this I was just thinking about all the things we used to be doing, all the fun things and bad things, when we were in the studio there were just different flows, different thoughts that I got out on the tap”

Teasing upcoming records with the likes of Curly Savv & Rah Swish, Dread’s next project is properly tilted “Gentlemen and Gangsta”, with no release date as of yet he promised he’s going to be getting into some different types of flows & bags, with a few surprises in store.

“Gentlemen and Gangsta is the next tape, the ladies love it, sometimes im gentlemenan sometimes im a gangsta. We gone switch up the flow."
