DMX is continuing to fight for his life in a White Plains hospital after an alleged overdose that caused a heart attack Friday evening. The rapper's family shared late Sunday evening that they would be holding a vigil outside of the hospital outside today (Monday, April 5th) at 5pm EST hosted by The Ruff Ryders to the Rescue Foundation.
Yesterday (Sunday, April 4th) DMX's family issued a statement about his condition asking his fans to keep him in their prayers and respect the privacy of the family during these times as he recovers.
“On Friday night, April 2nd, 2021, our brother, son, father, and colleague DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, was admitted to White Plains (NY) Hospital, facing serious health issues. We ask that you please keep Earl/DMX and us in your thoughts, wishes, and prayers as well as respect our privacy as we face these challenges.”
