After her new single “No More Parties” entered the Billboard Hot 100 this weak at the 84 spot we had Coi Leray stop by On the Radar to talk about the remix to the song (which drops tonight), who would be on her dream version of ladies night, her upcoming collabs with Nav, 42 Dugg, Tyga + many more!
While only being out for 3 weeks Coi’s “No More Parties” is well on its way to becoming one of the biggest songs in the country with hundreds of thousands of videos made to the song on tiktok as well as cracking the Billboard Hot 100 this week. With the remix alongside Lil Durk dropping tonight we spoke with Coi about how she and Durk were able to link for the song.
“So honestly I hit him up and was like I want you on the remix, he said yes it wasn’t 100% thought. I sent him the song and then my manager sent him the song and I hadn’t had the verse after 24hrs. I was like I’m going to tweet it and secure it because he already said he was gonna do it. When I saw him retweet it bruh I was like f—k yes it's over I didn’t even get the verse yet, that was my confirmation. Within 48 hours he sent it and BODIED IT”
On the topic of how females in Hip-Hop are dominating right now, we asked Coi who would be on her dream “Ladies Night” all-female collab record. Responding quickly she expressed that she honestly wants to bring every hot female MC right now together on the record.
“My record, this is hard, so we would get, it'll be like 10 minutes long, of course, we gotta throw Meg on there because she has been running it up all year, her work speaks for herself, Nicki Minaj, of course, you gotta have her. If I can get Nicki, Cardi, and Meg on one track I don’t need anything else. But then we work our way Doja Cat, Kaash Paige, Mariah The Scientist, Rubi Rose, LightSkinKeisha, Kash Doll, Dej Loaf, Dreezy, Asian Doll there are so many more, honestly I’ll take everybody”
As for what’s next for the rapper Coi is currently gearing up to release her debut album in 2021 and told us that she has singles with Nav, & Tyga on the way as well as a collab with 42 Dugg who she is waiting on to drop the single.
“We’re going to drop the Nav single leading up to the album because it’s such a strong huge record. I also got this record with Tyga, that song is so fire. The Dugg record that’s his song, I’m on his ass I can’t wait for him to drop it. The Tyga song is really fun like strippers in a bungee house fun.”
