We got to chop it up today on On The Radar with one of Los Angeles’ fastest rising stars White John. Fresh off the release of his 2020 “Cases Pending” project and 2021 “Cases Still Pending” EP he stopped by to talk about his beginnings in the rap game, being underrated in his city, his friendship with fellow rapper Rucci + more!
“white john started in middle school, I went to an all-black school in LA and I was the only white guy in the school so they began calling me White Boy John, even kids at other schools began to know me like that. Rucci and I even knew each other early on in Highschool. By my junior and senior year of Highschool, I just started introducing myself as that”
When it comes to his latest project “Cases Still Pending”, White John was joined by the likes of Rucci, OMB Pezzy, and Big Sad 1900. The tape which according to John serves as a 1.5 of his project and will hopefully lead into a full-length album this year.
“That was a 1.5 type thing, Ima drop an album this year, if anything I may drop another EP by the end of the year and an album at the start of 2022 but hopefully my next tape will be my album, I’m still gonna drop singles for yall but my next tape will hopefully be the album”
