Ashanti Palmer was not only her class valedictorian, but also had perfect attendance from pre-K through high school — that’s more than 4,600 days.
The achievement “wasn't something that I sought out," Palmer said. "I knew that showing up to school every day was important, because even missing one day can set you back."
Palmer received over $400,000 in scholarships and is attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, where she plans to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering and medicine on a pre-med track.
