Harvey Weinstein's sexual assault case has been slowly developing behind the scenes.
According to the newest news reports, an official multimillion dollar settlement has been reached with several of Weinstein's accusers. Accusers have opted out of pursuing their case further in court and have decided on a monetary settlement. Between a dozen of accusers, the judge demanded Weinstein to pay a $25 Million settlement plus a $2 Million bail increase for refusing to wear his ankle monitor. However, the payment will not come from Weinstein's personal finances, but from insurance companies who represent his since bankrupt movie studio, The Weinstein Company.
