Tidal Promotes Tony Gervino to EVP/Editor-In-Chief, Elliott Wilson to CCO

Tidal has announced today that they’re promoting Tony Gervino to EVP/Editor-In-Chief and Elliott Wilson to Chief Content Officer. Gervino joined Tidal in early 2017 as Vice President of Culture and Content. He’s a seasoned vet as he’s previously served as editor-in-chief at both Billboard and SLAM, along with being a writer/editor at New York Times, Rolling Stone and Businessweek. At Tidal, he’ll be in charge of overseeing all editorial directions including leading the company’s global playlist curation across all music genres and curating their digital magazine, READ.

Elliott Wilson who founded famous music podcast RapRadar in 2009 will lead the creation of new and existing original content on the streaming service. Previously before being named CCO he served as host for several of Tidal’s original content series, and curated many of the streaming services most popular playlists. Gervino and Wilson (who has been with the company since 2017 as Editorial Director of Culture & Content of HipHop) has excited CEO Richard Sanders with the acceptances of their newest positions.
