Yes you didn't read that headline wrong, "Twilight" Actor Robert Pattinson is reportedly about to close a deal for him to play Batman replacing Ben Affleck.
According to Varierty's sources, Robert Pattinson is currently in negotiations to play "The Batman" in Director Matt Reeves upcoming superhero film which is set to hit theaters in June of 2021. According to the publication the reports are that the deal is not done just yet, although the actor is set to close deal very very soon. Other reports include that Nicholas Holt (X-Men & Mad Max: Fury Road) is also a top choice for the director.
This all comes at the heals of Ben Affleck reportedly leaving the role after playing Batman in 3 movies (Batman VS. Superman, Suicide Squad, & Justice League). The new iteration of the cape crusader would see a younger version of the character in a prequel hence why Pattinson has been tapped to play the iconic roll.
