BET announced their upcoming two-part miniseries “The Bobby Brown Story” , following the success of the “The New Edition Story" which came out last year.
Woody McClain will be reprising his role as Bobby Brown and the miniseries also will feature new cast members such as Mekhi Phifer, Laz Alonso, Lance Gross And Lil Rel Howery.
Phifer will play the role of Bobby Brown’s brother Tommy Brown.
Lance Gross will play Bobby’s childhood friend, Steven Sealy, who was killed in a gunfight after hanging with him at their hometown bar.
Howery will play the the role of Brian Irvine, Bobby’s business manager and Alonso will play Louil Silas Jr, an MCA producer that helps launch Bobby’s solo career.
The two-night premiere for the mini-series will air this September.
