Back in 2007, Kanye West and 50 Cent dropped albums on the same day in hopes of being No. 1 on the charts. Kanye released his third album, Graduation and 50 Cent dropped his third studio album, Curtis.

The tension between both artists, at that time, was intense that it had everyone on the edge of their seats until the numbers were released!

Kanye West wound up winning the battle when he sold over 900K his first week and 50 sold over 600K.

In this clip, Rolling Stone interviewed 50 Cent and Kanye West about the competitive nature of hip-hop.
