Sean Garrett says that he was a major part of creating Ciara's sound when she released her self-titled debut album, Ciara.

Sean thinks that Ciara's lost her way musically because she let people get in her ear since she was so "young" starting out.

"The thing about Ciara is that we built her sound. We really did build her sound. ... And she was so young so, you can't really fault her for not knowing what it was. She was 16-years-old when we worker her. "Goodies" came out when she was 17.

"Well, success definitely changes you. Her first album was a big album. To be that young, you start listening to different people. Different people start telling you [that] you shouldn't work with this person, that person, you should do this, or you should to that. She did just start to change."
