Ludacris was candid with The Breakfast Club when Charlamagne Tha God asked him about signing 2 Chainz back in the day. Charlamagne wanted to know Ludacris had any idea that 2 Chainz, who went by Tity Boi when he signed with Luda, would grow to become the star he is today.
"Man, I would not have signed 2 Chainz if I didn't believe in his talent. I'm extremely proud of him. I'm extremely happy. He works extremly hard, he deserves everything that he gets."
Afterwards Charlamagne asked Luda if 2 Chainz was "suppose to A&R and album or mixtape" of his.
"He [2 Chainz] help me get one song on the mixtape -on the 1.21 Gigawatts: Back To The First Time mixtape. But we still work together in different capacities, at all times.
"I'm still a profit partner at the end of the day. [Laughs] I just got a check for his album and my album. Two checks!"
