Stephen A. Smith is always known for his blunt opinions and comments, but this time things went a little too far. ESPN suspended Stephen A. Smith after he made comments regarding women and domestic violence last week.

Last Friday, Smith was discussing Ray Rice's suspension and stated he would tell women to make sure they're not doing anything "to provoke wrong actions" in addition to telling men what NOT to do.

Although he issued an apology this morning, Smith will no longer appear on "First Take" or ESPN Radio until next Wednesday.

ESPN released a statement saying:

"We will continue to have constructive dialogue on this important topic. Stephen's comments last Friday do not reflect our company's point of view."..."As his apology demonstrates, he recognizes his mistakes and has a deeper appreciation of our company values."
