 “My husband was ultimately, super supportive. When I first got there, [to jail] Pap came up literally every single day for the first year that I was there. …

“When you have a support system in tuned with the world that keeps you sane it’s easier for you to come back and be how I am now. I could be super depressed. I really believe that some people come prison and they’re suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder. It’s serious. … I was blessed to be able to come home and just as close to who I was, the person I was before. I’m just a little smarter and a little wiser.”
