No Foul Play Suspected in the Death of Rapper & Three 6 Mafia’s Gangsta Boo

The news of the legendary rapper’s Gangsta Boo passing shook hip-hip culture on the first day of 2023. Now, details regarding her death are arising.

According to CBS affiliate WREG, Gangsta Boo (whose real name is Lola Mitchell) was found passed away at home, in the Whitehaven section of Memphis, on Sunday the 1st. In addition, those close to her stated it appears that there was no foul play in her death.

The 43-year-old rapper rose to fame as part of the Three 6 Mafia rap group. Gangsta Boo collaborated with many hip-hop and R&B artists including Eminem, E-40, OutKast, Lil Jon, Krayzie Bone, Gucci Mane, Run the Jewels, GloRilla and Latto.

After the news broke, fans gathered outside the home where she was found. One fan said she will always remember the joy the rapper brought onstage and in any interaction with fans.
