World’s First Pig Heart Transplant Patient Dead After 2 Months

In January, David Bennett made history becoming the first human ever to have a heart of a genetically modified pig transplanted in their body.

The University of Maryland Medical Center, where he had the procedure, has announced that he has died two months after the experiment.

No official cause of death has been revealed, but doctors say he began deteriorating several days before dying.
