Fireworks Mark NY's COVID Vaccine Milestone, Some Say Display Was Too Much

Fireworks went off across New York Tuesday to celebrate a vaccine milestone, but some say maybe the displays were a bit too much.

New York celebrated the new relaxed restrictions after reaching a 70 percent vaccination threshold and waving bye-bye to the coronavirus pandemic with a statewide fireworks extravaganza from various locations at 9:15 p.m.

The displays were announced by Gov. Andrew Cuomo at a press conference Tuesday, where he also lifted state restrictions on commercial settings.
