Thrill-seekers at an amusement park in England were today left trapped 100 feet in the air for 20 minutes after a roller coaster broke down.
Just before 6 p.m. (local time), a carriage full of people on Alton Towers’ The Smiler came to an abrupt halt as they were being pulled up the vertical part of the ride.
Pictures and video footage shows stranded people hanging vertically and forced to stare into the sky at the top of the ride for 20 minutes.
