On Monday Congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, along with 14 members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus toured the Texas Border Patrol facilities and migrant detention centers and they say that the conditions there are “horrifying.”
In series of tweets OAC along with other congressional members said that detained immigrants are being told to drink from toilet water, women are going weeks without showers and that 15 women in their 50s and 60s are all made to live in one small cell.
"This is a human crisis" says Congresswoman Medelien Dean via twitter as AOC continues by saying that these people are distraught as "officers are laughing."
