Barack Obama Pens Letter In Honor Of Nipsey Hussle

During the opening of Nipsey Hussle's memorial today, Karen Civil read a very touching letter which was written by Barack Obama in honor of Nipsey's legacy.

Barack:

I never met Nipsey but I heard his music through my daughters and after his passing I got to know about his work...he saw potential, he saw hope, he saw a community that even through the flaws told him to keep going.
His choice to invest in that community, to lift up the Eritrean-American community, he set an example for young people to follow. I hope his memory inspire more work in Crenshaw and other communities just like it.
Michelle and I send his love to Lauren.

RIP Nip, we love you.
