Box Office Numbers Rise Fast and Furious

The Fast and the Furious is now up to its eighth movie and the movie still brings in big numbers when it comes to box office sales. The movie came out this Friday and brought in $45.6 million, for its opening night. Aside from first night sales, the movie even made $10.4 million from its Thursday night screenings.  The movie is set to make box office records and make over a hundred million over the coarse of its opening weekend.

According to Variety, this eighth Fast and the Furious movie is the second best premiere of their movies after their seventh movie. After tallying up the numbers for the movie's first night, Fast 8 is recorded to be the biggest opening for a movie that did not premiere during the summer months.
