Revolt TV had their very first upfront in NYC (4/22) since the network launched in October of 2013.
Diddy, the Chairman of the network, was in attendance and he preferred to called the upfront an "omni-front." There was excitement from Diddy to discuss the network and to introduce the Revolt correspondents & The Breakfast Club!
After a few sales introductions, the EVP of Programming, Val Boreland, brought out The Breakfast Club.
The shocker of the night came when Charlamagne Tha God thanked Diddy for a "better" deal "than The L.O.X."
"First of all," Charlamagne began "I want to thank Diddy for two things. No. 1, not listening to Val. She said a morning show wouldn't work on Revolt. And No. 2 I want to thank Diddy for giving us a better contract than he gave The L.O.X."
Once the laughs settled, Angela Yee and DJ Envy also thanked Diddy and Revolt for the support and opportunity.
"We do appreciate when they approached us." Angela explained. "They told us we didn't have to change anything about the show. There's just going to be some cameras in front of you and we're still getting adjusted to that. Sometimes Envy is still whining to music and the camera is on him. [laughs] There's a lot of things we're still getting adjusted to but we're not changing anything."
Check out some images from their speech.
Stay tuned for more!
