Anthony Weiner's mayoral campaign continues to resemble a circus like atmosphere as his communications director, Barbara Morgan, is facing criticism following a profanity laced tirade directed towards a former Weiner campaign intern. Olivia Nuzzi, a former intern for the Weiner mayoral campaign wrote an exclusive column for the New York Daily News where she revealed that a number of Weiner's campaign staffers were only working with Weiner to try and get closer to his wife Huma Abedin and Hilary Clinton’s potential 2016 presidential campaign.

Morgan, Weiner's communications director, claims she thought she was off the record when she talked with the Talking Points Memo and responded to Nuzzi's comments. Morgan called Nuzzi a "f---ing sl-tbag" and "little c--t" among other things. Morgan also criticized Nuzzi's job performance as an intern saying, "She like wasn’t good at setting up events. She was clearly there because she wanted to be seen."

Morgan has since responded by saying she thought she was off-the-record when talking with the blog. “In a moment of frustration, I used inappropriate language in what I thought was an off-the-record conversation,” Morgan said later in a statement. “It was wrong and I am very sorry, which is what I said tonight when I called and emailed Olivia to apologize.” The Daily News reports that the Talking Points Memo's editor Josh Marshall is insisting that Morgan was on the record.
