(Christopher Robbins) The tourist who was severely injured five weeks ago after a taxi plowed onto the sidewalk outside Rockefeller Center left the hospital today for the first time to give the Today Show an interview, one block from where she was maimed. “It is a little bit because I haven’t been out in five weeks," 23-year-old Sian Green said. “It takes me back a little bit. When I see a yellow car, I’m just a bit like [exhales], but I’ll get there.”

Green, whose left leg was amputated below the knee, was thankful for the group of people who used belts and a dog leash to stem her bleeding on the sidewalk. “There’s good people in this world, very good people in this world that I can’t thank enough," she said. “They saved my life. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be sitting here right now telling this story.”
