Where would you rank New York City among the country's snootiest cities? According to Travel & Leisure magazine NYC ranked second in the country in its list of snobbiest cities. Coming in first place was San Francisco.

Rounding out the top five snobbiest cities are Boston, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Santa Fe (Seattle tied Santa Fe for fifth place). Travel & Leisure figured out the list based on various factors including a reputation for "aloof" and "smarty-pants" residents, high-end shopping, highbrow cultural offerings, tech-savviness, artisanal coffeehouses, and eco-consciousness.
