The tri-state area is bracing for another snow storm.

A winter storm warning is in effect from midnight through 6 a.m. Friday morning.  This will be our fifth significant snowfall of the season, with several inches of snow expected before it changes over to a wintry mix.

That's bad news for communities that have already used much of their salt supply and exhaused their snow budget.  There will also be a challenge for drivers, as roads will be messy for the morning and afternoon commutes on Thursday.

The snow is expected to be heavy at times, especially during the morning hours.
