Police in New Jersey are investigating another rash of luxury car thefts they say were entirely preventable.

The bold thieves in Paramus are stealing cars from victims' homes, checking for cars that are unlocked and have the keys still inside -- particularly the valet key in the glove box, which is all a thief needs, police tell The Record.

Nine luxury cars have been stolen in Paramus since January, three of them in the last two weeks, police say. Those three vehicles were all 2013 and 2014 models.
