Peter Vallone Jr., a Democratic councilman from Queens who is also a candidate for Queens Borough President, was on "The John Gambling Show" Friday morning. Vallone was very outspoken against the Department of Justice's decision to appoint a federal monitor to oversee the NYPD if the stop-and-frisk program is ruled unconstitutional.

"We mind as well just call our police commissioner 'Deputy Monitor,' because they won't be in charge anymore," Vallone said on WOR 710. Vallone ripped the idea of an inspector general and/or federal monitor being appointed to oversee the NYPD. The councilman even questioned some City Council members’ thought process, calling them "clueless."
