Coney Island's Astrotower appeared to be swaying on Tuesday causing officials to evacuate Luna Park. NBC New York reports that emergency officials will investigate the tower's stability before letting people back into the park.
The Astrotower is known to sway regularly, even known by some as "the swaying tower," but apparently the swaying on Tuesday seemed more pronounced causing concern.
Officials are hoping to have their investigation of the tower done by noon today (Wednesday). If the tower is deemed stable, park goers will be allowed back into the park in time for July 4 festivities.
